Vehicle Speed Sensor

Vehicle speed sensor is mounted on back of instrument cluster. Speed sensor rotor shaft is driven by a gear on speedometer output shaft. For each shaft rotation, speed sensor sends a 4-pulse signal which is sent to CC ECU. CC ECU calculates vehicle speed from this pulse frequency.
