TRAC Solenoid Relay

  1. Remove TRAC solenoid relay from relay box No. 5. Using an ohmmeter capable of checking diodes, check continuity between relay terminals No. 2 and 3. Continuity should exist. Continuity should not exist between terminals No. 1 and 3.
  2. Check continuity between terminals No. 3 and 5 in both direction. Continuity should exist in only one direction. Connect fused jumper wire between positive battery terminal and terminal No. 4. Connect negative battery terminal to terminal No. 6.
  3. Continuity should exist between terminals No. 1 and 3. Continuity should not exist between terminals No. 2 and 3. If continuity is not as specified, replace relay. If continuity is as specified, check for open or short in harness and connector between terminal WT of TRAC ECU and battery or TRAC solenoid relay.
