Engine Oil Change Indicator

NOTE: Engine oil change indicator does not indicate oil change interval, only that oil change interval has been exceeded. The engine oil and filter change schedule must be followed. Mileage counter must be reset after oil change regardless of whether or not indicator has illuminated.
  1. At 12,000 mile intervals, OIL CHANGE light in instrument panel will come on as a reminder that oil change interval has been exceeded. After changing oil and oil filter, reset warning light mileage counter.
  2. To reset mileage counter, remove plug from instrument panel faceplate below speedometer. Insert a small punch or rod through plug hole and depress knob. See Fig 1. Reset mileage counter after oil and filter change even if light has not come on.
