Knock Sensor

  1. Knock sensor(s) are located on the cylinder block. See Fig 1 and Fig 2. Remove knock sensor from cylinder block before testing. See REMOVE/INSTALL/OVERHAUL article.
  2. Using ohmmeter, check that no continuity exists between electrical terminal of knock sensor and body of knock sensor. Replace knock sensor if continuity exists.
