Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect battery negative cable. Drain coolant. Remove 3 screws retaining passenger front seat scuff plate. Remove right seat belt from floor panel. Remove passenger front seat and jack holder.
  2. Remove 2 bolts securing right front seat leg. Remove engine service hole cover. Remove 3-4 small air hoses from air intake connector hose. Remove air intake connector hose between throttle body and air cleaner assembly. Disconnect Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and Idle Speed Control (ISC) valve connectors. Mark/label and disconnect 4 vacuum hoses from throttle body.
  3. Disconnect 2 coolant by-pass hoses from throttle body. Disconnect throttle cable (A/T), and accelerator cable and bracket from throttle body. Remove 2 bolts and 2 nuts securing throttle body and remove throttle body.
  4. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten throttle body nuts and bolts to 13 ft. lbs. (18 N.m).
