Power Steering Pump Specifications: Reassembly

  1. To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure using NEW "O" rings. Lubricate all components with ATF. Coat lip of NEW oil seal with ATF before installation. Using hammer and appropriate size socket, install oil seal.
  2. Install rotor with inscribed mark facing from front plate. Install cam ring with inscribed mark facing from front housing. Install vane plates with rounded edge facing from rotor. Tighten bolts to specification. See appropriate TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table.


  1. To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure using NEW "O" rings. Lubricate all components with ATF. Coat lip of NEW oil seal with ATF before installing. Using hammer and appropriate size socket, install oil seal.
    NOTE: Install rotor with chamfered edge toward front housing.
  2. Install vane plates with rounded edge facing from rotor. Ensure reference marks align on front and rear housing. Tighten bolts to specification. See appropriate TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table.
