Parking Brake Cable

NOTE: Service brake must be correctly adjusted before adjusting parking brake.

To check parking brake adjustment, pull parking brake lever with force of 44 lbs. (20 kg). Count number of notches (clicks). If lever stroke (number of notches) is not within specification, adjust parking brake. See PARKING BRAKE ADJUSTMENT .
To adjust, release parking brake. From beneath vehicle, loosen lock nut on equalizer bar pull rod. Turn adjuster nut until lever stroke is correct. Tighten lock nut.
