Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect battery negative cable. Drain coolant. Remove PCV hoses. Disconnect throttle cable and accelerator connecting rod from throttle body linkage. Remove air intake connector. Mark/label and disconnect emission control vacuum hoses from throttle body.
  2. Disconnect coolant by-pass hose from ISC valve. Unplug throttle position sensor connector. Remove accelerator cable bracket. Remove 4 bolts retaining throttle body. Lift throttle body to disconnect coolant by-pass hoses and remove VTV.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten throttle body bolts to 115 INCH lbs. (13 N.m). Adjust throttle cable. Add coolant.
