Land Cruiser
- Remove driver's lower instrument panel finish cover. Remove lower steering column cover if needed. Locate ignition switch wiring harness connector (8-cavity connector).
- Using test light, backprobe Black wire terminal of ignition switch wiring harness connector. If test light glows, go to next step. If test light does not glow, check for blown fusible link AM1 in fusible link box near battery. Also check 50-amp AM1 fuse in engine compartment left side fuse/relay block. If fusible link and fuse are okay, check for open in Black wire to ignition switch. Repair wiring as required.
- Using test light, backprobe Black/White wire terminal of ignition switch wiring harness connector. Turn ignition switch to START position. If test light does not glow, replace ignition switch. If test light glows, check Black/White wire circuit to neutral start switch for open or short. If test light glows at neutral start switch, check Black/Red wire circuit from neutral start switch to starter for open or short. Repair as required.
