Cancel Switch Operation
The cruise control system is provided with several types of cancel switch, such as the cancel switch of the control switch, the brake light switch, the parking brake switch, and the neutral start switch (A/T) or clutch switch (M/T).
- Parking Brake Switch
When the brake lever is pulled, the parking brake switch is turned on which sends a cancellation signal (earth voltage) to the ECU. - Neutral Start Switch (A/T)
When the shift lever is set to the Park or Neutral range, the neutral start switch goes on sending a cancellation signal (earth voltage) to the ECU. - Clutch Switch (M/T)
When the clutch pedal is depressed on, the clutch switch goes on sending a cancellation signal (earth voltage) to the ECU. - Stop Light Switch
When the brake pedal is depressed, switch A of the stoplight switch is turned off and switch B of the stop light switch is turned on, current flows through the stop light switch to the body ground. Thereby, the actuator is shut off.
The operation of the cruise control system is cancelled and the actuator is shut off due to the operation of theses switches.
