Power Window Motor

  1. To test operation of power window motor, connect a lead from the positive terminal of the battery to motor terminal No. 1 and ground to terminal No. 2 and ensure motor turns downward. See Fig 1. Reverse polarity and ensure motor turns upward.
  2. To test motor circuit breaker operation, hold the window control switch in the UP position with the window fully raised. Ensure there is circuit breaker operation noise within 4 to 40 seconds, and motor no longer functions. Ensure window functionality returns after approximately 60 seconds. If motor operation is not as specified, replace motor.
