Door Lock Control Motor

  1. Inspect motor operation. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and negative (-) lead to terminal 2. Check that the motor turns. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and negative (-) lead to terminal 1, and check that the motor turns the opposite way. If operation is not as specified, replace motor.
  2. Inspect rod stroke. Rod stroke specification should be 30 ± 2 mm (1.18 ± 0.08 in.). See Fig 3. If stroke is not within specification, replace door lock control motor.
