Clutch Start System

  1. Verify engine does not start when clutch pedal is released. Verify engine starts when clutch pedal is fully depressed. Check clearance "A" is greater than 0.04" (1.0 mm) when clutch is fully depressed. See Fig 1.
  2. If system is not operating correctly, ensure electrical continuity between switch terminals when switch is in the "ON" (pushed) position. See Fig 2. Replace or adjust switch as necessary.
