Vacuum Switch Check: Corolla

  1. Disconnect vacuum switch No. 1 electrical connector. See Figure, Figure, Figure or Figure. Using an ohmmeter, Check that continuity does not exist between vacuum switch terminals.
  2. Warm engine to operating temperature. Ohmmeter should now indicate continuity between switch terminals. On California models, repeat testing procedure on vacuum switch No. 2. If vacuum switch does not function as described, replace vacuum switch.
