Fuel Pump: Installation

  1. Install fuel pump filter and NEW clip on fuel pump. See Figure.
  2. Install rubber cushion on bottom of fuel pump.
  3. Connect fuel hose onto fuel pump using NEW fuel line clips. See Figure.
  4. Connect wires onto fuel pump with 2 nuts.
  5. Push lower side of fuel pump into fuel pump bracket. See Figure.
  6. Install fuel pump and bracket assembly into fuel tank with 7 screws and NEW gasket. Tighten screws to 35 INCH lbs. (3.9 N.m).
  7. Install fuel tank.
  8. Connect negative battery cable.
