Electronic Air Control Valve (EACV) Check

  1. Disconnect AS hose from EACV. Disconnect connector from temperature switch No. 2 and ground connector. See Fig 1. A bubbling sound should not be heard from EACV. Reconnect switch No. 2.
  2. Disconnect connector from temperature switch No. 1 and ground connector. See Fig 1. Maintain engine speed above 1390 PRM. A bubbling sound should now be heard from EACV. If a fault is encountered, replace EACV.
