Description Of Diagnostic System

If a malfunction occurs, the diagnostic system will identify the problem and the computer will store trouble codes. When a malfunction is detected the "ANTILOCK" warning light will illuminate in the combination meter. If 2 codes are detected by the computer, the code having the smallest number will be identified first.

Camry, Camry All-Trac, Celica and Celica All-Trac models have a separate diagnostic system for speed sensors and sensor rotors. Camry All-Trac and Celica All-Trac models also have a separate diagnostic system for deceleration sensor. These systems diagnose only faults with a particular sensor from other ABS failures. During diagnosis start with "ANTILOCK" LIGHT SEQUENCE DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE.
