Fluid Replacement

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Disconnect return hose. Drain fluid into container. With engine idling, turn steering wheel from lock-to-lock while draining.
  2. Stop engine. Fill reservoir with fluid. Start engine and run for one to 2 seconds. Stop engine and refill reservoir. Repeat 4 or 5 times, or until air is expelled.
  3. With fluid at normal operating temperature, it's level should read between the indented "HOT" mark on reservoir dipstick.
  4. When fluid is cold, it's level should be between the indented "COLD" mark on dipstick. Reconnect return hose, add fresh fluid. Bleed system (if necessary).
