Fuel Injected Models

Adjust idle under the following conditions: air cleaner installed, all air intake system hoses connected, all vacuum lines connected, EFI system wiring connectors tight, transmission in Neutral, and all accessories and electric cooling fan off (if equipped).
Engine must be at normal operating temperature. Connect tachometer to negative terminal of coil, or remove rubber cap and connect probe to service connector on distributor (if equipped). See Figure.
Increase and hold engine speed at 2500 RPM for 2 minutes. Set idle by turning idle speed adjusting screw. See Fig 1.
