Cruise Control Systems: Testing: Switches: Van

  1. To test main switch, there should be continuity between terminals 3 and 4 with the switch "OFF" and between 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 with it "ON". To test brake cancel switch, parking brake switch and stop light switch, check that no continuity exists between terminals 1 and 2 when the switch is pushed and that continuity exists when switch is free. For clutch switch, the terminals are 2 and 3.
  2. To test control switch, in the "SET/COAST" position, there should be continuity between terminals 2 and 9 and in the "ACCEL/RESUME" position between terminals 1 and 9. In the "OFF" position, no continuity should exist.
