Nozzle Cleaning
- Disassemble nozzle holder. Wash parts in clean diesel fuel. Use a wooden stick to clean needle tip and soft brass brush to remove nozzle body deposits. Do not touch nozzle tip with fingers.
- Inspect nozzle seat and needle tip for damage or corrosion. Replace nozzle assembly if either is found. Do not touch nozzle mating surfaces with your fingers. Hold nozzle body at about 60° from horizontal, and insert needle.
- Pull needle up about one-third its length and allow to slide back down. Repeat several times, rotating needle between test. If needle does not slide down smoothly, replace nozzle assembly.
