A Toyota Camry with a four cylinder 2SE engine that is suffering from sluggishness, low power, poor fuel economy, or hard starting may be suffering from an incorrectly installed timing belt. Check the position of the distributor. If the distributor is cocked to one end of its adjustment to achieve proper ignition timing, the timing belt is most likely off a tooth.
