Parts Replacement: Brushes
- Check for cracks and minimum length of 0.22" (5.5 mm). If damaged or worn beyond limit, replace brushes. Brushes should slide smoothly in holders. Install new springs when replacing brushes. Solder brush wire.
- New brush protrusion should be 0.650" (16.5 mm) for Celica, Supra and Tercel; 0.630" (26 mm) for Cressida; 0.650" (16.5 mm) for Corona; 0.787" (20 mm) for Pickup Diesel; 0.610" (15.5 mm) for Honda, and 0.492" (2.5 mm) for all other models.
