Steering Column And Wheel - Steering Wheel Switch - LH - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Install the LH steering wheel switch to the steering wheel, and then connect the LH steering wheel switch connector.

  2. Install the screw that attaches the LH steering wheel switch to the steering wheel.

    1 N.m (.7 lbs-ft) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • Torx T8 bit

  3. Install the LH switch fixing bracket to the steering wheel.

  4. Install the screws (x3) that attach the LH steering wheel switch to the steering wheel.

    1.2 N.m (.9 lbs-ft) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Cordless 1/4 in Dr Ratchet
    • Torx T10 socket
    • 2 in extension

  5. Install the LH steering wheel heater connector to the LH switch harness bracket.

  6. Secure the harness to the LH steering wheel switch harness bracket.

  7. Install the steering wheel lower spoker cover. See STEERING COLUMN AND WHEEL - STEERING WHEEL, LOWER SPOKE COVER - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  8. Install the steering wheel. See STEERING COLUMN AND WHEEL - STEERING WHEEL - PUR LEATHER - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  9. Install the driver airbag. See FRONT AIR BAGS - DRIVER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  10. Connect the LV power. See LV Battery - Li-Ion - Disconnect And Connect .
  11. Enter Service Mode. See SERVICE MODE .
  12. Reinstall software. See SOFTWARE REINSTALL - TOUCHSCREEN .
  13. Exit Service Mode. See SERVICE MODE .
  14. Install the rear underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD TRIM - REAR APRON ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
