Center Console - Rear End Module, Assembly - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Remove the center console phone deck. See INTERIOR TRIM - CENTER CONSOLE - CENTER CONSOLE - PHONE DOCK - CLIP - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  2. Remove the rear end panel. See CENTER CONSOLE - CONSOLE REAR END PANEL, ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  3. Remove the LH rear side panel. See CENTER CONSOLE - REAR SIDE PANEL, LH, ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  4. Remove the LH front side panel. See CENTER CONSOLE - CONSOLE SIDE PANEL, CARPET, LH, LHD - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  5. Remove the LH decor trim. See CENTER CONSOLE - HOCKET STICK, LH, ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  6. Repeat step  3 through step  5 on the RH side of the vehicle.
  7. Remove the rear underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD TRIM - REAR APRON ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  8. Disconnect LV battery power. See LV BATTERY - LI-LON - DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
  9. Remove the screws (x6) that attach the rear end module assembly to the center console.
    WARNING: The video(s) included in this procedure are meant as an overview for supplemental purposes only. Follow all of the steps listed in the procedure to avoid damage to components and/or personal injury.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Torx T20 socket
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • Torque Wrench Hexagon - 1060071-00-A (for installation only)
    NOTE: LH shown, RH similar

  10. Release LH shown, RH similar the datums (x2) that attach the rear end module assembly to the center console.

  11. Disconnect the rear end module electrical connectors (x2).

  12. Remove the bolt that attaches the ground harness to the rear end module assembly, then remove the rear end module assembly from the vehicle.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Torx T20 socket
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • 4 in extension
    • Ratchet/torque wrench (for installation only)

  13. Remove the bolts (x5) that attach the rear end module to the rear end module assembly.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Torx T20 socket
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • 4 in extension
    • Torque Wrench Hexagon - 1060071-00-A (for installation only)
