Electrical - Electronic Control Modules - Body Controllers - Homelink Module - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Install the HomeLink transmitter module on the bracket.

  2. Connect the electrical connector to the HomeLink transmitter module.

  3. Remove the towels, and fasten the clips (x16) that attach the front fascia assembly to the vehicle.

  4. Install the bolt that attaches the front fascia to the LH front fender.

    2.5 N.m (1.8 lbs-ft) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Cordless hex driver
    • 6 in nutsetter + 8 mm magnetic deep
    • Torque wrench hexagon 1060071-00-A (for installation only)

  5. Fasten the clips (x5) that attach the LH front wheel arch liner to the front fascia, and then move the liner aside for access.

  6. Repeat step  4 through step  5 on the RH side of the vehicle.
  7. Install the bolts (x5) that attach the upper portion of the front fascia to the vehicle.

    3.5 N.m (2.6 lbs-ft) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Cordless hex driver
    • 6 in nutsetter + 10 mm magnetic deep
    • Torque wrench hexagon 1060071-00-A (for installation only)

  8. Install the underhood storage unit. See EXTERIOR FITTINGS - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM - FRONT LUGGAGE STORAGE COMPARTMENT - FRUNK ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  9. Use the touchscreen to enable Service Mode. See SERVICE MODE .
  10. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See GATEWAY UNLOCK
  11. On the touchscreen, touch Controls > Low Voltage > HomeLink > Test HomeLink > Run  and allow the routine to complete.
  12. Exit Service Mode. See SERVICE MODE .
