Body Controllers - Assembly, Left Controller GEN 3.5 - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD TRIM - REAR APRON ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Disconnect the LV power. See LV BATTERY - LI-LON - DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
- Remove the LH instrument panel end cap. See DASH PANEL - END CAP, LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Remove the LH lower A-pillar trim. See A - B - C POST INTERIOR TRIM - A - PILLAR LOWER ASSEMBLY, LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Remove the driver footwell cover. See DASH PANEL - DRIVER FOOTWELL COVER ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Remove the LH footwell duct. See INTERIOR DUCTING AND VENTS - IP, DRIVER, FOOTWELL, DUCT - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Disconnect the front door electrical connector J7 from the LH body controller.
- Disconnect the LH front seat harness electrical connector from the LH body controller.
- Disconnect the IP harness electrical connector J10 from the LH body controller.
- Disconnect the HVAC electrical connector from the LH body controller.
- Disconnect the LV power cable from the LH body controller.
- Disconnect the body 1 electrical connector J2 from the LH body controller.
- Disconnect the underhood storage unit electrical connector J6 from the LH body controller.
- Disconnect the body 3 electrical connector J5 from the LH body controller.
- Disconnect the body 2 electrical connector J4 from the LH body controller.
- Disconnect the front body controller harness electrical connector X909 from the LH body controller.
- Release the clips (x2) that attach the front body harness to the LH body controller.
- Release the clips (x2) that attach the LH body harness to the LH body controller and A-pillar, move it aside.
- Remove and discard the bolt that attaches the LH body controller to the vehicle.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 10 mm 12-point deep socket
- 2 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench (for installation only)
- Slide the LH body controller upward to release the W tab, maneuver the LH body controller out from under the instrument panel, then remove the LH body controller module from the vehicle.WARNING: The video(s) included in this procedure are meant as an overview for supplemental purposes only.
