Body Controllers - Assembly, Left Controller GEN 3.5 - Remove And Replace: Install
- Maneuver the LH body controller module into position under the IP carrier. Align the W-clip with the body cutout, and then slide down to attach the LH body controller module to the body.WARNING: The video(s) included in this procedure are meant as an overview for supplemental purposes only. - Install a new bolt that attaches the LH body controller module onto the vehicle.
4.75 N.m (3.5 lbs-ft)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 10 mm 12-point deep socket
- 2 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench (for installation only)
- Install the clips (x2) that attach the LH body harness to the LH body controller module and A-pillar.
- Install the clips (x2) that attach the front body harness to the LH body controller module.
- Connect the front body harness electrical connector X909 to the LH body controller module.
- Connect the body 2 electrical connector J4 to the LH body controller module.
- Connect the body 3 electrical connector J5 to the LH body controller module.
- Connect the underhood storage unit electrical connector J6 to the LH body controller module.
- Connect the body 1 electrical connector J2 to the LH body controller module.NOTE: Ensure the electrical connector is fully seated, then engage the lock.
- Connect the LV power cable to the LH body controller module.
- Connect the HVAC electrical connector to the LH body controller module.
- Connect the IP harness electrical connector J10 to the LH body controller module.NOTE: Ensure the electrical connector is fully seated, then engage the lock.
- Connect the LH front seat harness electrical connector to the LH body controller module, then engage the lock.
- Connect the LH front door electrical connector J7 to the LH body controller module.NOTE: Ensure the electrical connector is fully seated, then engage the lock.
- Install the LH footwell duct. See INTERIOR DUCTING AND VENTS - IP, DRIVER, FOOTWELL, DUCT - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Install the driver footwell cover. See DASH PANEL - DRIVER FOOTWELL COVER ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Install the LH lower A-pillar trim. See A - B - C POST INTERIOR TRIM - A - PILLAR LOWER ASSEMBLY, LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Install the LH instrument panel end cap. See DASH PANEL - END CAP, LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Connect the LV power. See LV BATTERY - LI-LON - DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
- Install the rear underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD TRIM - REAR APRON ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Connect the vehicle to a laptop with Toolbox 3.0.
- Close the LH front door, open the RH front door, sit in the front passenger seat and then close the RH front door.
- Reinstall the software. See SOFTWARE REINSTALL - TOUCHSCREEN .
- In Toolbox 3.0, perform the following steps.
- For vehicles running firmware versions 2023.44 up to, but not including, 2024.8, select PROC_VCSEC_X_SET-ROOT-KEY-TO-ALL-REGIONS (i) , and then click Run and allow the routine to complete.
- Click the Actions
tab, type "PROC_VCLEFT" into the search field, click PROC_VCLEFT_X-POST-REPLACEMENT-PROCEDURE(i)
, click Run
, and allow the routine to complete.NOTE: Keep the driver seat clear of all objects during calibration.
- Click the Actions tab, type "PROC_VCSEC" into the search field, click PROC_VCSEC_X_POST-REPLACEMENT-PROCEDURE(i) , click Run , and allow the routine to complete.
- Click the Actions tab, type "PROC_VCSEC_C_PAIR-NFC-CARD-V2" into the search field, click PROC_VCSEC_C_PAIR-NFC-CARD-V2(i) , click Run , and allow the routine to complete.
- Close the RH front door and open the LH front door.
- Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle.
- Disable Service Mode. See SERVICE MODE .
- Move the LH front seat to original position.
- Raise all windows and close the LH front door.
