Body Controllers - Assembly, Front Controller GEN 3 - Remove And Replace: Install
- Set the front body controller module where it installs into the vehicle, and then tilt the module forward.WARNING: The video(s) included in this procedure are meant as an overview for supplemental purposes only. Follow all of the steps listed in the procedure to avoid damage to components and/or personal injury.multimedia:A supplement to the article is available.
- Connect the LV negative harness clip to front controller.
- Install the bolts (x3) that attach the front body controller module to the body.
10 N.m (7.4 lbs-ft)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 10 in extension
- 10 mm socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Install the bolt that attaches the ground strap to the lower right side of the front body controller module, and then install the ground strap to the module.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 4 in extension
- 10 mm socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Connect the electrical harness to the front body controller module connectors (x5).
- Install the bolts (x2) that attach the front body controller module cover to the front body controller module, and then install the cover.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 4 in extension
- 10 mm socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Connect the thermal harness to the front body controller module connector.
- Connect LV power. See LV BATTERY - LI-LON - DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
- Reinstall the vehicle firmware. See SOFTWARE REINSTALL - TOUCHSCREEN .
- In Toolbox, click Actions , type "VCFRONT" in the search field, click the Play button next to "TESTRESET_ VCFRONT", and then select Run .
- Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle.
- Install the cowl screen panel. See UNDERHOOD TRIM - ASSEMBLY, COWL SCREEN, LHD - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Perform the headlights adjust procedure as needed.
