Fluid Coupling (90 Degrees) - Front Drive Unit - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Remove the front subframe. See SUBFRAME ASSEMBLY - FRONT (DUAL MOTOR) - REMOVE AND INSTALL .
  2. Position the fluid catcher under the subframe and fixture assembly.

  3. Release the front drive unit inverter inlet hose from the 90 degree fluid coupling.

  4. Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the LH motor mount to the front drive unit, and then remove the mount from the front drive unit.

    35 Nm (25.8 lbs-ft) 55 degrees 

      Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • E14 socket

  5. Remove the screw that attaches the front drive unit 90 degree fluid coupling to the drive inverter.

    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft) 

      Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • T25 socket

  6. Remove the 90 degree fluid coupling from the drive inverter and discard it.
