Software Reinstall (Li-Ion Battery)

CAUTION:

Vehicle software version 2023.12 or newer is required in order to perform this procedure.

  1. Remove the rear underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD APRON - REAR (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  2. Connect the LV maintainer to the vehicle, but do not disconnect the LV battery. See LV Maintainer (Connect and Disconnect) .
    NOTE:

    It is OK for the LV maintainer and LV battery to both be connected while performing this procedure.

  3. Enable Service Mode. See SERVICE MODE 
  4. Go to the Service Mode menu: touch the Service Mode "wrench" icon at the bottom of the vehicle touchscreen.
    NOTE:

    Alternatively, for vehicles with older firmware versions: Touch Controls  (vehicle icon), and then touch Service Mode  .

  5. On the vehicle touchscreen, touch Software Reinstall  .
  6. Once the reinstallation is complete, check that the release notes appear on the touchscreen, indicating a successful reinstallation.
  7. Disconnect the LV maintainer from the vehicle. See LV Maintainer (Connect and Disconnect) .
  8. Disable Service Mode. See SERVICE MODE .
  9. Install the rear underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD APRON - REAR (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
