Module - Body Controller - RH - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Maneuver the RH body controller module between the harness guide and body of the vehicle into position under the IP carrier, and then set the tab into the BIW cutout.

  2. Clip the RH body controller module to the vehicle.

  3. Install the bolt that secures the RH body controller module to the vehicle.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 10 mm socket
    • 1/4 in std ratchet
    • 1/4 in torque wrench (installation only)
    • 2 in extension

  4. Install the clip that attaches the DCDC cable to the RH body controller module.

  5. Connect the J11 HVAC electrical connector to the RH body controller module.

  6. Connect the J10 instrument panel electrical connector to the RH body controller module.

  7. Connect the J9 passenger front seat electrical connector to the RH body controller module, and then engage the connector lock.
    NOTE: Ensure the electrical connector is fully seated.

  8. Connect the J7 RH front door electrical connector to the RH body controller module, and then engage the connector lock.
    NOTE: Ensure the electrical connector is fully seated.

  9. Install the clip that attaches the black connector to the RH body controller module.

  10. Connect the J1 power electrical connector to the RH body controller module, and then engage the connector lock.
    NOTE: Ensure the electrical connector is fully seated.

  11. Connect the J4 body electrical connector to the RH body controller module, and then engage the connector lock.

  12. Connect the J5 body electrical connector to the RH body controller module, and then engage the connector lock.

  13. Connect the J12 body electrical connector to the RH body controller module.

  14. Connect the J6 underhood storage unit connector to the RH body controller module.

  15. Connect the J2 body electrical connector to the RH body controller module, and then engage the connector lock.
    NOTE: Ensure the electrical connector is fully seated.

  16. Secure the clips (x2) that attach the body electrical harness to the instrument panel.

  17. Install the clips that attach RH body electrical harness to the RH body controller module area.

  18. Connect the blue coaxial connector to the body harness guide side.

  20. Unfold the carpet to its original position, and then install the clip that attaches the carpet to the vehicle.

  21. Install the glovebox. See Glove Box - With Knee Airbags (Remove and Replace) .
  22. Install the main instrument panel decor trim. See Decor Trim - Instrument Panel - Main (Remove and Replace) .
  23. Install the front passenger knee airbag. See Airbag - Knee - Front Passenger (Remove and Replace) .
  24. Install the RH center console side panel carpet. See Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  25. Install the RH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  26. Install the RH mid A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  27. Install the RH air wave end cap. See End Cap - Air Wave - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  28. Install the RH instrument panel end cap. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  29. Install the LH air wave end cap. See End Cap - Air Wave - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  30. Install the LH instrument panel end cap. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  31. Install the passenger footwell cover. See Cover - Footwell - Passenger (LHD) (Remove and Replace) .
  32. Install the RH front floor mat.
  33. Connect 12 V power. See 12 V/LV POWER (DISCONNECT AND CONNECT) .
  34. Install the underhood rear apron. See UNDERHOOD APRON - REAR (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  35. Close the hood.
  36. Connect to vehicle using Toolbox 3.0.
    NOTE: Vehicle connection is integrated into LH footwell cover.
  37. In Toolbox, click the Action/Autodiag  tab, and then type "Service_Redeploy" in the search field.
  38. Click UPDATE_SERVICE_REDEPLOY  , and then click Run  and allow the routine to complete.
  39. Once firmware redeploy is complete, verify on the center display that the release notes are present.
  40. Sit in the driver seat and close the LH front door.
  41. In Toolbox, click the Actions  tab, and then type "PROC_VCRIGHT" in the search field.
  42. Click PROC_VCRIGHT_X-POST-REPLACEMENT-PROCEDURE  , and then click Run  and allow the routine to complete.
    NOTE: Keep the front passenger seat clear of all objects during calibration.
  43. Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle.
  44. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
  45. Move the front passenger seat to the original position.
  46. Close the RH front door.
