Knee Airbag - Front Passenger - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Remove the passenger footwell cover. See Cover - Footwell - Passenger (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the RH center console side panel. See Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the RH front sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Front - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the RH instrument panel end cap. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the RH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the RH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) .
- Remove the bolts (x2) and clip that attach the front passenger knee airbag assembly to the vehicle.
8 N.m (5.9 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Release the tabs (x6) and clip that attach the front passenger knee airbag assembly to the vehicle, disconnect the electrical connectors (x2), and then remove the assembly from the vehicle.
- Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that attach the front passenger knee airbag cover brace to the airbag assembly, and then remove the brace from the assembly.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- E10 socket
- Remove and discard the bolts (x4) that attach the front passenger knee airbag cover to the front passenger knee airbag, release the tabs (x5), and then rotate the airbag out of the cover to remove it.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- E10 socket
