Sliding Lid - Center Console - Remove and Replace: Remove

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2023 Tesla Model 3, 2022 Tesla Model 3, 2021 Tesla Model 3, 2020 Tesla Model 3, and 2019 Tesla Model 3. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the center console. See CENTER CONSOLE (2ND GENERATION) (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
    NOTE: Do not remove the security controller.
  2. Remove the cup holder. See CUP HOLDER (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  3. Disconnect the sliding lid connector and release the connector from the console assembly.

  4. Remove the screws (x9) that attach the sliding lid to the center console assembly.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Torx T20 socket
    • 4 in extension
    • 1/4 in std ratchet

  5. Remove the sliding lid from the console assembly.
