Shroud - Lower - Steering Column - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Position the steering column lower shroud on the vehicle, and then install the clip that attaches the lower shroud to the steering column.
    NOTE: Slide the lower shroud forwards to engage the datum.

  2. Install the screws (x2) that attach the steering column lower shroud to the steering column.

    1.5 N.m (1.1 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 2 in extension
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • Torx T20 socket

  3. Install the steering column upper shroud. See Shroud - Upper - Steering Column (Remove and Replace) .
  4. Install the steering yoke/wheel. See Steering Yoke/Wheel (Remove And Replace) .
  5. Install the main instrument panel decor. See Decor - Instrument Panel - Main (Remove and Replace) .
  6. Remove the RH instrument panel middle trim. See Trim - Middle - Instrument Panel - RH (Remove and Replace) .
  7. Position the instrument panel closeout panel on the instrument panel, and then install the tabs (x4) that attach the closeout panel to the instrument panel.

  8. Install the touchscreen. See Touchscreen (Remove and Replace) .
  9. Install the instrument panel service panel. See Service Panel - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace) .
  10. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) .
  11. Calibrate the rear doors.
    NOTE: If the "Calibration Needed" message appears on the vehicle touchscreen, touch and hold Calibrate  to calibrate the rear doors.
  12. Install the center console phone dock. See Phone Dock - Center Console (Remove and Replace) .
  13. On the vehicle touchscreen, touch Controls > Steering  , and then use the left steering wheel scroll wheel to adjust the steering column into original position.
  14. Install the LH and RH instrumental panel end caps. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  15. Install the LH and RH middle A-pillar trims. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  16. Raise the LH and RH front windows.
  17. Close the LH and RH front doors.
