Siren - Battery Backed - Remove And Replace: Removal

  1. Remove the underhood storage unit:
  2. Disconnect the harness from battery coolant pump 2.
    NOTE: Battery coolant pump 2 is on the LH side of the vehicle.

  3. Slide the coolant pump and rubber isolator off of the bracket and set them aside.

  4. Remove the nut that secures the siren (torque 7 N.m).

  5. Maneuver the siren up past the coolant pump bracket, but do not completely remove the siren from the vehicle.
    CAUTION: At this point in the procedure, the siren harness is still connected.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the siren.
  7. Remove the siren from the vehicle.
