Actuator - Pedestrian Protection - LH (EMEA) - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. See RAISE VEHICLE - 2 POST LIFT .
  2. Remove the rear underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD APRON - REAR - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  3. Remove the LH and RH underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD APRON - LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE
  4. Disconnect LV power. See LV POWER - DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
  5. Remove the LH front wheel. See WHEEL - REMOVE AND INSTALL .
  6. Remove the clips (x6) that attach the LH front wheel liner to the vehicle to partially release the rear portion of the LH front wheel liner, then move it aside.

  7. Pull the locking tab outward to disconnect the LH pedestrian protection actuator electrical connector.

  8. Release the clip that attaches the LH pedestrian protection actuator electrical connector to the body.

  9. Lower the vehicle. See RAISE VEHICLE - 2 POST LIFT .
  10. Remove the LH and RH wiper arm. See WIPER ARM - LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  11. Remove the LH and RH shock tower cover. See COVER - SHOCK TOWER - LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  12. Remove the cowl screen washer hose. See HOSE - WASHER - COWL SCREEN - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  13. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH pedestrian protection actuator to the vehicle.
