Module - Body Controller - LH - Remove And Replace: Install
- Install the LH body controller module to the vehicle.NOTE: Attach the tab onto the body and align into the body stud
- Install a new nut that attaches the LH body controller to the body.
6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Position the harness bundle back to the LH body controller.
- Connect the harness electrical connector.
- Connect the dash electrical connector (J12 X035) to the LH body controller module.
- Connect the door electrical connector (J10 X033A) to the LH body controller module.
- Connect the door 2 electrical connector (J11 X033B) to the LH body controller module.
- Connect the power electrical connector (J14 X036) to the LH body controller module.
- Connect the body 6 electrical connector (J8 X039) to the LH body controller module.
- Connect the body 2 electrical connector (J3 X031) to the LH body controller module.
- Connect the body 4 electrical connector (J5 X034) to the LH body controller module.
- Connect the body 5 electrical connector (J6/J7 X038A/B) to the LH body controller module.
- Connect the body 3 electrical connector (J4 X032) to the LH body controller module.
- Connect the body 1 electrical connector (J1/J2 X030A/B) to the LH body controller module.
- Connect the understood storage unit electrical connector (J9 X037) to the LH body controller module.
- Fasten the clip that attaches the harness to the LH body controller.
- Fasten the clips (x2) that attach the LH harness bracket to the body.
- Return the LH main carpet back into place.
- Install the driver knee airbag. See Knee Airbag - Driver - Remove And Replace
.NOTE: No need to intstall the driver knee airbag cover.
- Install the driver footwell cover. See Cover - Footwell - Driver - Remove And Replace .
- Connect LV power. See LV Power - Disconnect And Connect .
- Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 - Connect And Disconnect .
- In Toolbox 3, click the Actions tab, type "Service_Redeploy" into the search field, click UPDATE_SERVICE-REDEPLOY, click Run , and allow the routine to complete.
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
- Install the LH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH - Remove And Replace .
- Install the LH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH - Remove And Replace .
- Move the LH front seat back to its original position
- In Toolbox 3, click the Actions tab, type "VCLEFT replacement" into the search field, click PROC_VCLEFT_X_POST-REPLACEMENT-PROCEDURE, click Run , and allow the routine to complete.
- Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 - Connect And Disconnect .
