Module - Body Controller - LH - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Install the LH body controller module to the vehicle.
    NOTE: Attach the tab onto the body and align into the body stud

  2. Install a new nut that attaches the LH body controller to the body.

    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Ratchet/torque wrench

  3. Position the harness bundle back to the LH body controller.

  4. Connect the harness electrical connector.

  5. Connect the dash electrical connector (J12 X035) to the LH body controller module.

  15. Connect the understood storage unit electrical connector (J9 X037) to the LH body controller module.

  16. Fasten the clip that attaches the harness to the LH body controller.

  17. Fasten the clips (x2) that attach the LH harness bracket to the body.

  18. Return the LH main carpet back into place.

  19. Install the driver knee airbag. See Knee Airbag - Driver - Remove And Replace .
    NOTE: No need to intstall the driver knee airbag cover.
  20. Install the driver footwell cover. See Cover - Footwell - Driver - Remove And Replace .
  21. Connect LV power. See LV Power - Disconnect And Connect .
  22. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 - Connect And Disconnect .
  23. In Toolbox 3, click the Actions  tab, type "Service_Redeploy" into the search field, click UPDATE_SERVICE-REDEPLOY, click Run  , and allow the routine to complete.
  24. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
  25. Install the LH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH - Remove And Replace .
  26. Install the LH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH - Remove And Replace .
  27. Move the LH front seat back to its original position
  28. In Toolbox 3, click the Actions  tab, type "VCLEFT replacement" into the search field, click PROC_VCLEFT_X_POST-REPLACEMENT-PROCEDURE, click Run  , and allow the routine to complete.
  29. Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 - Connect And Disconnect .
