Module - Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) - Front - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Position the front BLE module on the T badge support, and then install the two screws that attach the module to the T badge support.

    3 N.m (2.2 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Torx T25 socket
    • 4 in extension
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

  2. Position the T badge support on the front fascia, and then install the clips and datums that attach the T badge support to the fascia.

  3. Install the screw that attaches the T badge support to the front fascia.

    3 N.m (2.2 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Torx T25 socket
    • 4 in extension
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

  4. Connect the electrical harness to the front BLE module.
    CAUTION: Push the red locking tab into the connector to engage the locking mechanism. DO NOT push down or pull up on the red locking tab.

  5. Install the front fascia assembly. See Fascia Assembly - Front (Remove and Install) .
  6. Connect a laptop with Toolbox to the vehicle.
  7. In Toolbox, click the Actions/Autodiag  tab, and then search for "Service_Redeploy".
  8. Click UPDATE_SERVICE-REDEPLOY, and then click Run  and allow the routine to complete
    NOTE: Select "X" at top right of window to close once complete. The routine will state pass but the update will continue to run in the background. The UI will show update progress.
  9. In Toolbox, click the Actions/Autodiag  tab, and then search for "Endpoint".
  10. Click TEST-SELF_VCSEC_X_ENDPOINT-COMM, and then click Run Network  and allow the routine to complete.
    NOTE: Click the X at the top right of the window to close once complete.
  11. Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle.
  12. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
