Disconnect 12V Power: Disconnect
NOTE:
After disconnecting 12V power, the rear doors and liftgate are inoperable. Open any necessary closures before proceeding.
WARNING:
If the 12V power supply is disconnected, do not attempt to open the front doors with door glass in closed position. Failure to follow this instruction could result in door glass shatter.
NOTE:
Before disconnecting the 12V power supply, make sure that the driver's door window is fully open. Failure to follow this instruction could result in vehicle lockout.
- Open the front trunk.
- If the vehicle is charging, remove the charge cable.
- On the touchscreen, power off the climate control system, and wait at least 30 seconds for the climate control system to completely shut down.
- Make sure the vehicle is in Park.
- Fully lower all door windows to avoid glass shatter and door lockout conditions.
- Remove the HEPA filter housing Housing - Filter (Remove And Replace) .
- Open the driver's door and any door that might need to be open during the service procedure.
- Turn off vehicle power from the touchscreen by touching Controls > E-brake & Power Off > Power off .
- Close all doors.
- Disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal clamp (torque 5 N.m).
- Disconnect the first responder loop.CAUTION: Do not cut the first responder loop.
- Wait at least 2 minutes for all electrical circuits to fully discharge.WARNING: Before servicing post pack contactor high voltage components on the DC Link, verify the pack contactors are open by performing the vehicle electrical isolation procedure. See VEHICLE ELECTRICAL ISOLATION PROCEDURE . If servicing the pack contactors themselves, disconnect low voltage power and remove the HV pyro fuse/disconnect. See Fuse - Pyrotechnic - HV Battery 1.0/1.5 (Remove and Install) or Fuse - Pyrotechnic - HV Battery 2.0 (Remove and Install) . If servicing the HV pyro fuse/disconnect, be aware that high voltage will always be present at the fuse.
