Steering Rack (LHD) (1st Generation) - Remove And Replace: Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

1. Reinstall the vehicle firmware. See FIRMWARE REINSTALL - TOUCHSCREEN .
2. Connect a laptop to the diagnostic port of the vehicle, and then use Toolbox 3 to locally connect to the vehicle. See TOOLBOX 3 (CONNECT AND DISCONNECT) .
3. Unlock the vehicle gateway for diagnostic communication. See GATEWAY UNLOCK .
4. Using Toolbox 3:
   1. Select the Actions  tab and search for "EPAS Post Replacement"
   2. Select the ODIN routine PROC_EPAS_X_POST-REPLACEMENT, and then click the link of the routine.
   3. Click RUN  , and allow the routine to complete.
5. Perform a Lock To Lock-Angle test. See Lock To Lock-Angle Test .
6. Disconnect the laptop with Toolbox 3 from the vehicle. See TOOLBOX 3 (CONNECT AND DISCONNECT) .
7. Refer to the Alignment Requirement tables to determine if an alignment check (AC) or full adjustment (FA) is necessary. See ALIGNMENT REQUIREMENT - SUSPENSION .
