Shaft - Steering Column - Intermediate Upper - Remove And Replace: Removal

  1. Remove the HV Battery HV Battery (AWD) (Remove And Install) .
  2. Remove the bolt that secures the upper and lower intermediate shafts (torque 50 N.m).
    CAUTION: Replace all Patchbolt(s).

  3. Remove the driver's footwell cover Assembly - Cover - Footwell - Driver's (Remove And Replace) .
  4. Working inside the vehicle, remove the bolt that secures the upper intermediate shaft to the steering column (torque 30 N.m).
  5. Working inside the vehicle, release the clips (x4) that secure the steering shaft seal to the firewall.

  6. Raise the vehicle.
  7. Working beneath the vehicle, remove the upper intermediate shaft from the steering column. Remove the shaft from the vehicle.
