Air Spring Module - Front - RH - Remove And Replace: Installation
CAUTION:
Replace all nylon-insert locknuts.
CAUTION:
Replace all patchbolt(s).
NOTE:
Clean the affected areas before installation.
CAUTION:
Only fully tighten suspension nuts and bolts when the vehicle is on a 4-post lift and the suspension is in the ride height position.
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
- Install and hand-tighten a new collet and nut (VOSS fitting).NOTE: A plastic plug holds the fitting together before and during installation.
- Remove the plastic plug from the new fitting.
- Tighten the new fitting (torque 2 N.m).
- Insert the air suspension line fully into the fitting, and then lightly pull on the line to make sure that it is secure.
- Make sure that all air suspension lines are securely reconnected before continuing.
- Refill the air suspension system with Nitrogen. See AIR SUSPENSION - PRESSURIZE/DEPRESSURIZE - FULL SYSTEM .NOTE: If the front RH air spring module was replaced because of a leak, perform the additional steps to purge the accumulated moisture from the dryer.
- Pressurize the front RH air spring module. See AIR SUSPENSION - PRESSURIZE/DEPRESSURIZE - ONE AIR SPRING .
- Raise the vehicle on a 4-post lift and torque all suspension components while the vehicle is at ride height.
- Refer to the Alignment Requirement tables to determine if an alignment check (AC) or full adjustment (FA) is necessary. See ALIGNMENT REQUIREMENT - SUSPENSION .
