Sensor - Occupant Classification - Front Passenger's Seat - Calibration: Procedure
- Set the vehicle climate control to 68 degrees F (20 degrees C).NOTE: The cabin temperature must be approximately 68 degrees F (20 degrees C) to properly calibrate the sensor.
- Set the RH 1st row seat heater to level 1.
- Check that the vehicle firmware is at least 2019.40.50 or later. If it is not perform a firmware update. See Firmware Update .
- Enable service mode. See Service Mode .
- Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
- Make sure that the key fob is in the vehicle and that nothing is sitting on the RH 1st row seat.
- Depress the brake pedal and hold up on the signal stalk together for 10 seconds.
- In Toolbox, click the Actions/Autodiag tab, type "OCS-CALIBRATE" in the search field, click on PROC_VCSEATP_FRONT-PASS_OCS-CALIBRATE , and then click Run .
- Allow 2 minutes for the calibration routine to complete.CAUTION: Make sure that there is nothing on the RH 1st row seat.
- Disconnect the laptop with Toolbox 3 from the vehicle.
- Verify that the text "PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF" is displayed in the upper right corner of the touchscreen.
- Disable service mode. See Service Mode .
- Return the seat heater and climate control to their previous settings.
