E-Fuse Module (1st Generation) - Remove And Replace: Installation

  1. Install new bolt that attaches the 12V power supply cable to the E-fuse module (torque 7 N.m).

  2. Install new bolt that attaches the ground cable to the E-fuse module (torque 4 N.m).

  3. Install the screws (x6) that attach the small cables to the side of the E-fuse module (torque 4 N.m).

  4. Install the signal harness connector to the E-fuse module.
  5. Install the screw that attaches the small cable to the bottom of the E-fuse module (torque 5 N.m).

  6. Install new bolts (x2) that attach the large cables to the bottom of the E-fuse module (torque 5 N.m).

  7. Install the side cover onto the RH side of the E-fuse module, and then fasten the tabs (x2).

  8. Slide the new E-fuse main cover onto the E-fuse module, and then install the screws (x3) that attach the main cover to the module (torque 2.5 N.m).

  9. Position the E-fuse module in the vehicle. Do not attach the tabs at this time.
    CAUTION: Make sure not to dislodge nearby refrigerant lines.

  10. Install new bolt that attaches the DCDC positive cable to the E-fuse module (torque 5 N.m).

  11. Use the tabs (x2) to install the E-fuse module to the battery coolant heater bracket, and then install the nut that attaches the module to the bracket (torque 7 N.m).

    NOTE: The nut is removed in this figure.
  12. Install the new DCDC cover on the E-fuse module, and then install the new bolt that attaches the cover to the module (torque 3.5 N.m).

  13. Install the air suspension reservoir, and then loosely install the retaining screws that attach the straps.
  14. Install the wiper motor assembly. See Wiper Motor Assembly (Remove and Replace) .
  15. Tighten the screws that attach the air suspension reservoir straps (torque 2.5 N.m).
  16. Install the bolts (x6) and the clip that attach the LH shock tower brace to the body (torque 20 N.m).

  17. Install the bolts (x8) and the clip that attach the RH shock tower brace to the body (torque 20 N.m).

  18. Install the LH and RH shock tower brace covers.
  19. Install the underhood fusebox. See FUSEBOX - UNDERHOOD - 2ND GENERATION (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  20. Install the HEPA filter outlet. See Duct - HEPA Filter - Outlet (Remove and Replace) .
  21. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 2 to the vehicle.
  22. Reinstall the vehicle firmware. See Firmware Reinstall - Touchscreen .
