Navigation Micro SD Card - Media Control Unit - Remove And Replace: Removal

Perform the procedure to remove the MCU from the instrument panel, but do not disconnect any cables or harnesses from the MCU, refer to MEDIA CONTROL UNIT (REMOVE AND INSTALL) .

Working from the upper right side of the MCU, carefully use a precision screwdriver or plastic probe to press the Micro SD card release tab down from the socket to eject the Micro SD card.
CAUTION: Take care not to damage component(s).

Use tweezers to carefully remove the Micro SD card from the MCU.
CAUTION: If the Micro SD card is accidentally dropped into the MCU chassis, completely remove the MCU from the vehicle, and gently shake the MCU with the Micro SD card slot down to work the loose Micro SD card out of a chassis opening. If this is unsuccessful, the MCU will need to be opened to remove the Micro SD card.

Destroy and discard the Micro SD card after removal.
