Module - Restraint Control (Non-Heat Pump) Remove and Replace: Remove

  1. On the touchscreen, touch Controls  (vehicle icon), and then touch the Software  tab to display the vehicle firmware version.
  2. Record the vehicle firmware version.
  3. Remove the center console. See CENTER CONSOLE (REMOVE AND INSTALL) .
  4. Disconnect 12V/LV power. See 12V/LV POWER - DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
    WARNING: Make sure LV is disconnected before continuing to the next step.

  5. Release the locking tabs, and then disconnect the electrical harness from the restraint control module.

  6. Remove and discard the nuts (x3) that attach the restraint control module to the body, and then remove the module from the vehicle.
    NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
    • 2 in extension
    • 1/4 in std ratchet
    • 1/4 in torque wrench (installation only)
