Update Configuration

  1. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
    NOTE: The vehicle connection is integrated into the drivers footwell cover. Open the Toolbox 3 website https://toolbox.teslamotors.com.
  2. In Toolbox, select the connection status icon at the top right corner, and then select "Connect Locally".
    NOTE: The icon will turn green when the vehicle is connected.
  3. Select the "Dashboards" tab, and then select "Infotainment Dashboard" from the left.
  4. Select "Vehicle Configuration".
    NOTE: Click Read Config  , and then click Run  to load the configuration values if they are not shown automatically.
  5. Scroll down to "tpmsType", and then select "Tesla Ble" from the drop down menu.
  6. Click Apply Changes  , and then click Run  to save the updated configuration.
  7. After the center display of the vehicle has rebooted, verify that the configuration changes are complete.
  8. Select "Actions/Autodiag" and search for "LEARN-TP-TYPE".
  9. Select the "PROC_VCSEC_X_LEARN-TP-TYPE" action, and then click Run  to make sure the gateway uses the BLE TPMS.
  10. Search for "CLEAR-LEARNT-TIRE-OFFSET".
  11. Select the "PROC_DIR_CLEAR-LEARNT-TIRE-OFFSET" action, and then click Run  to clear the stored tire sizes.
  12. Click Read Config  , and then click Run  to verify that the vehicle configuration change was performed.
  13. Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle.
