Module - Body Controller - LH (LHD) (Heat Pump) - Remove and Replace: Install

  1. Maneuver the LH body controller module into position under the IP carrier. Align the W-clip with the body cutout, and then slide down to attach the LH body controller module to the body.

  2. Install a new nut that attaches the LH body controller module onto the body.

    6 N.m (4.4 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 10 mm 12-point deep socket
    • in std ratchet
    • in torque wrench (installation only)
    • 2 in extension

  3. Move the LH body harness towards the left side of the LH body controller module, and then attach the harness clips to the LH body controller module.

  4. Connect the J2 body 1 electrical connector to the LH body controller module, and then engage the connector lock.
    NOTE: Ensure the electrical connector is fully seated.

  5. Connect the J4 body 2 electrical connector to the LH body controller module, and then engage the connector lock.
    NOTE: Ensure the electrical connector is fully seated.

  6. Connect the J5 body 3 electrical connector to the LH body controller module, and then engage the connector lock.
    NOTE: Ensure the electrical connector is fully seated.

  7. Connect the J6 front underhood storage unit connector to the LH body controller module.

  8. Connect the J1 power connector to the LH body controller module, and then engage the connector lock.
    NOTE: Ensure the electrical connector is fully seated.

  9. Connect the inline electrical connector X909 to the LH body harness, and then clip it to the LH body controller module.

  10. Connect the J11 HVAC electrical connector to the LH body controller module.

  11. Install the J10 instrument panel electrical connector to the LH body controller module, and then engage the connector lock.
    NOTE: Ensure the electrical connector is fully seated.

  12. Connect the J9 LH front seat electrical connector to the LH body controller module, and then engage the connector lock.

  13. Connect the J7 LH front door electrical connector to the LH body controller module, and then engage the connector lock.

  14. Install the LH footwell duct. See Duct - Footwell - LH (LHD) (Remove And Replace) .
  15. Install the driver knee airbag. See Airbag - Knee - Driver (Remove And Replace) .
  16. Install the driver footwell cover. See Cover - Footwell - Driver (Remove And Replace) .
  17. Install the LH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove And Replace) .
  18. Install the LH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove And Replace) .
  19. Install the LH instrument panel end cap. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove And Replace) .
  20. Connect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect And Connect) .
    CAUTION: Do not power on the climate control system until this procedure has been fully completed.
  21. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove And Replace) .
  22. Connect to vehicle using Toolbox 3.0.
    NOTE: Vehicle connection is integrated into LH footwell cover.
  23. Perform a service CAN redeploy. See Software Reinstall - Toolbox .
  24. Sit in the front passenger seat and close the RH front door.
  25. In Toolbox, click the Actions  tab, and then type "PROC_VCLEFT" in the search field.
  26. Click PROC_VCLEFT_X_POST-REPLACEMENT-PROCEDURE, and then click Run  and allow the routine to complete.
    NOTE: Note Keep the driver seat clear of all objects during calibration.
  27. Move the front passenger seat to the original position.
  28. Raise the RH front window and close the RH front door.
  29. Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle.
  30. Move the driver seat to the original position.
  31. Close the LH front door.
  32. Inform the customer that their liftgate opening height settings have been reset and to refer to the owner's manual for instructions on setting the liftgate opening height.
