WARNING:
Make sure 12V power has been disconnected for at least 2 minutes before disconnecting the electrical harness from Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) components, such as modules, sensors, airbags, etc. Failure to do so can result in unintended safety system behaviors. For more information on SRS precautions, see Air Bag And Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) Precautions

WARNING:
Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) components can be hazardous if not handled properly. For more information on SRS precautions, see Air Bag And Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) Precautions

WARNING:
While performing any Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) related repairs, it is important to disconnect 12 volt power. If the vehicle's 12 volt power is NOT disconnected and the Passive Safety Restraint Module is removed or disturbed, this can result in the deployment of the vehicle's airbags.
WARNING:
If the 12V power supply is disconnected, do not attempt to open any doors with door glass in closed position. Failure to follow this instruction could result in door glass shatter.
NOTE:
Before disconnecting the 12V power supply, ensure that the driver's door window is fully open. Failure to follow this instruction could result in vehicle lockout.
NOTE:
In the event of an airbag or seat belt tensioner deployment, certain airbag and seat belt components must be replaced, and other components must be inspected for damage. Refer to SRS INSPECTION AND COMPONENT REPLACEMENT
for a specific list of items that must be inspected and replaced.
